listening to you has always made me wish I'd learn to ride, and appreciate, horses

Listening to you has made me wish I had learned to design spaces, pick fabrics and colors and put things where they belong. Plus, I might have a clue about fashion. But I'm not sure those things can be learned.

Horses are wonderful if they strike your fancy. Otherwise, why bother with these suicidal eating machines?

Anne I love this story. I must say Shyla had a similar experience with Dixie at the county fair. She was doing the trail course and had to back Dixie through an L pattern made up of hay bales. Mind you we don't practice trail patterns at home, we just trail ride on occasion, coming across whatever obstacles tend to be on an open trail. I was delighted to watch Shy and Dixie maneuver through the L, and much to the audiences delight at the last second she reached down and grabbed a mouthful of hay. Dixie is fat, pushy, ear shy (twitch I think), and the most money we ever spent on a horse. She is worth every penny. Like your pony I know that when it's time to sell her, people will line up with trailers.

Anne

I think it's incredible that Shy and Dixie can maneuver through the L without a lot of practice at home. All that trail riding obviously pays off!

Dixie has a flare for the dramatic, waiting until the last second to take a bite of the hay. What a hoot!

Good ponies are so very hard to come by. Sounds like you have the perfect one. Enjoy!

Horses aren't cheap to keep, even in your backyard. So, I sell ads on this site. I don't know these people, so don't buy anything based on my recommendation. However, I do try to be selective in the advertising I accept, and I try to keep it entertaining. Thanks for coming by.
