I was pushed fairly hard as a child riding. I started showing at six on the quarter horse circuit and barrels. Was showing on the A circuit and in the McClays by 12.

I slept, ate and breathed horses till I was 18, when I was injured. Then the boys came...so maybe you have until 18?

Ooh, and when I was a kid, I was ALWAYS riding and jumping things out the car window....my favorite is golf courses!

Because you can't not ride! It's obviously in her soul. It is often the best part of my day when I'm riding.

I know my neighbours thought I was nuts when in the rain I'm riding my horse and leading the other for 20k hacks for eventing season, but I wouldn't have it any other way. That and now I'm only showjumping I don't have to do as much fitness work.

My only answer is, Lily is the perfect kid! I mean, cleaning her tack! Outstanding! But give yourself some credit Anne, you make horses fun. She has a great role model in you and you have done all you could to instill enjoyment from your horses.

Molly

Works for me. You've done a great job with the right combination of opportunities.

  • Yes, this site has advertising
Horses aren't cheap to keep, even in your backyard. So, I sell ads on this site. I don't know these people, so don't buy anything based on my recommendation. However, I do try to be selective in the advertising I accept, and I try to keep it entertaining. Thanks for coming by.
