I have a Non-Saintly Brother, as my regular readers (especially of LifePundit) are all too aware. But this story about the Non-Saintly Trexler Brother Terry should win an award.
This is the guy who, along with his mother, is in hot water and jail for neglect and abuse of their herd of Arabian horses. A couple of weeks ago he detained (which is considered kidnapping) a Humane Society worker who was at his property photographing his miserable, starving horses.
So what does he do when the sheriff shows up? Identify himself as his brother, so his brother is arrested and charged with kidnapping. And because his brother is a high-ranking state agriculture department official, this makes front page news. (Note: brother was not innocent of horse abuse, but was innocent of kidnapping.)
Here's an excerpt from the clarified story:
Sheriff Lott initially said (James) Trexler had been charged with kidnapping, but Lieutenant Chris Cowan tells WIS News 10 that Trexler's brother, Terry, claimed to be James Trexler when Humane Society investigators were on the property on February 13th.
Lott says Terry Trexler is charged with kidnapping because he refused to let the investigator leave his farm. Terry Trexler also is charged with 23 counts of ill treatment of animals.
What an interesting conversation they must have had in the jail cell together.
All I can say is "Yuck!" in regards to both of them.
