Why don't you try making a good/bad list? You can list all of the good things that would make people want to buy him, and then all the bad ones. Then when you email or talk to people you will be able to tell them all of the things he does well instead of everything bad.

Oh Anne, why am I not surprised by this post.

Okay, here's what you do... (like you were asking for my advise)... and you don't need to compromise your honesty.

Engage the beer swilling farrier to act as your selling agent... you have no evidence that he's still unscrupulous, tell him all the shortcomings of the horse (that allows you to be honest) and if he leaves one or two details out as he sells the horse then you can hardly be responsible for that.

Or...

You're treating your knowledge of Unscrupulous Farrier in a way that you want to treat your knowledge of your horse. So when asked about him you should tell the truth. At least that way you're giving him and your horse an even break.

Good luck.

Molly

If you can bite your tongue until you get people there to see and try Buddy, then you would be able to give them your list and they can make their own judgment. I don't think buyers are falling out of trees at this time so you do need to get a few of them on your horse. Once aboard you can be truthful.

  • Yes, this site has advertising
Horses aren't cheap to keep, even in your backyard. So, I sell ads on this site. I don't know these people, so don't buy anything based on my recommendation. However, I do try to be selective in the advertising I accept, and I try to keep it entertaining. Thanks for coming by.
