I sent the photo of my neighbor's Redneck Fence Repair to a friend who lives in Tajikistan. She one-upped me with this photo of how the Tajiks take recycling to a new level (does this make them rednecks?) I guess if you take your truck apart, it goes further for fencing. Wonder what kind of creature gets to live in this not very inviting pasture?
Don't kid yourself, someone will see this and think it's art.

You are too funny! And on-target. Yes, someone will probably think it's art. Hope nobody in my neighborhood.
I know that when the Soviet Union fell that Albanians took the telephone lines down and used them for pasture fencing. We're lucky we can have phones and fenced pastures, too.

Wow; I don't even want to think about all the ways animals could hurt themselves on that fence!
Your whole loose horse series has been cracking me up. It's nice to have you back on such a regular basis!

That terraced field looks like it's there for crops, maybe the fence is there to keep animals out? I've seen terraces like that used for vines to, wouldn't want some horse or goat getting in the way of the wine harvest!
Back in Transylvania the natives used to steal my electric fence to use pieces to tie their wooden fences together when they hadn't enough nails. They used to recycle nails too, after all why buy new ones from the village shop? They also recycled horse shoes by welding new metal onto them, though again the shop sold new shoes!
Old railway rails make good sleigh runners too. One just needs a bit of fire to heat them enough to bend them.

I think its an interesting look, but perhaps not for keeping horses in (or out). I didn't think at first glance how dangerous a fence like this could be! I still have so much to learn...

I have seen "fences" in Mexico kind of like that. Very helter skelter with whatever material is convenient and hopefully strong. Nevermind worrying about horses cutting themselves on sharp corners. Those tough little equines seem to survive.

I have similar photos from my recent trip to Tajikistan.
